About Orkest Asfalto

Orkest Asfalto is a alternative marching drum corps loosely modeled on the Brazilian percussion blocos. It was a spin-off of the original theatre performance group Balé Techlorico.

Orkest Asfalto operated as an ongoing class and drum corps from 2004-2008 in San Francisco.   The group performed for the San Francisco Day of the Dead march as well as other small shows and festivals.

Plans are underway to restart the group in Paris, France, where Greg Beuthin currently lives (mid-2009).
