Back in the game

The move of the BaléTech server coincides with BT restarting a new work development cycle.  I.e. we're in rehearsals again.  Not for any particular show - the idea is to produce Fast, Cheap, and Out of Control (FCO) pieces - i.e. "shorts" that ) can be performed almost anywhere, b) are 5-15 minutes in length, c) keep us thinking, on our toes and expanding our shared vocabulary.

So far, we're revisiting the short Fantasy DJ piece from our original show Future Folkloric, which was reworked at Intersection for the Arts last year.  Except now we're using Daveed's rap from Cry Don't Cry - so expect it to be tighter and doper, if I do say so myself.

We're also "remixing" a short Kyogen piece called Usagi, which is a riddle about a rabbit.  I participated in the Theatre of Yugen Winter Training this year, and while I am barely even just a novice, I've taken it upon myself to put Usagi through the multi-disciplinary and cultural blender that is Balé Tech.  So far, we've got Rave Bunny.  It's a blast....
