p>A loooong time ago when I was workng on a show with Daveed Diggs, he mentioned he wanted to create a hip hop song in 6/8  (yes, I know, it's 12/8 for the purists).  I remember he stressed that he wanted to make it sound like a 4/4 song to keep that hip-hop head-nodding effect.
