My play excerpt at the Playwright's Festival

The play I worked on at the beginning of last year - "Time Upon" - was selected for this year's Bay Area SHorts (BASH!) reading of the Bay Area Playwright's Festival, a nationally known festival of new work.

I am very excited and grateful to have this opportunity to continue to work on this play during the festival, and a 30-minute excerpt of my new version will be performed as a stage reading, along with four other BASH plays.

A TIME UPON is a dystopian folk tale.   A shadow puppet, a broken traffic light, conversational kazoo and lyrical license.  The rest is natural mayhem.

An excerpt of my play, A TIME UPON will be performed as a staged reading at the Bay Area Playwright's Festival, as part of the Bay Area SHorts series.

New year, new play

I am currently in a writing workshop with Just Theatre, and we wil be having a play reading of the plays the writers have worked on in a few weeks. I've spent the last few months producing the first draft of my new play, which is currently (unoriginally) titled A Dream of a Courtyard. (The other two plays are Tim Bauer's What We Know Now and Liz Lisle's Matterless Fact).

Season of Creativity

I'm gearing up for a busy season of creation this winter. It started with the Balé Tech drum corps - now dubbed Orkest Asfalto - drumming along with the procession at Day of the Dead.
